About Your Coach

Evangelos Akde

Evangelos is a member of the USA Senior National Team, currently ranked #3 in the world in Men's Kumite (U21) and seeded 1st on the U.S. team at –67kg. His competitive record includes gold at the Junior Pan American Games, three Junior Pan American Karate Championship titles, a Karate1 Series A bronze medal, and eight national championships.

He now teaches private lessons for students of every age and level — from first-timers building a foundation to competitive athletes refining tournament-level kumite. Sessions are available in person around the Dallas, TX area or live over Zoom, and can focus on technique, sparring strategy, or general karate conditioning and cardio.
